Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Wag the TOAST: Where Barks Meet Bubbly Brunch

Tongues and tails were wagging Saturday as Wag The TOAST, an unlimited mimosa, dog friendly brunch toast2benefiting the Washington Humane Society, brought out DC’s finest pooches — and other top dogs — at Levante’s in Dupont Circle.

Hosted by BiggieBoyDC & Marley (Niki Charles), Bradley Superstar (Brea Ellis), TheDutchMonster (Jessica Penzari), Jaxon “Jax” Fela Ford (Kenni Ford), King Louis (L’Ore’al Yates), London (Elly Shariat), Nino (Kimberly), and Zoie (Jenni Izumi), the event featured plates for people and pups at play, including severaltoast3 dogs who were up for adoption mingling with potential new owners.

Attendees left with gift cards and goodies from The Big Bad Woof, Wag Time, and Fur Get Me Not.
