[Party Pix] Luke’s Wings Homecoming Gala

The Historic Terminal A at Reagan National Airport was awash in red, white, and blue, as Washington’s most patriotic guests showed up to honor and celebrate the service of wounded veterans at the Luke’s Wings Homecoming Gala.

Founded by Fletcher Gill and Sarah Wingfield, Luke’s Wings provides airfare to wounded veterans and their families.  On the eve of Veteran’s Day, this annual gala brought together concerned Washingtonian’s, including Andrew Larris, Jayme Ploff, Grace Jones, Leslie Magos, and Jason Sickels, with two families who had been helped by the organization and featured guest 101st Airborne Paratrooper Guy Whidden, who fought in WWII on the beaches of Normandy.

Guests were treated to cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dancing, and photo booth fun, as well as a silent auction and golden ticket raffle for a trip to Costa Rica. Then, when the clock struck midnight, the revelers headed to a private afterparty at PJ Clarke’s where proceeds from bar sales continued to benefit the organization.
