Excitement filled the air as guests sipped champagne and munched on macaroons Wednesday night.
Hela Salon & Spa opened its doors for the inspiring launch of the Gift of Life Project. A collaborative effort of Capital Breast Care Center (CBCC), Hela Salon & Spa, and Shoot for Change photographer Walter Grio, the project highlights CBCC’s mission to provide mammograms to DC women, whether or not they are able to pay.
The launch of the Gift of Life project encouraged attendees like Stef Woods, Donna Donella, Jennifer Streaks to be diligent about breast health — and even put forward a coveted incentive! Monthly, one lucky CBCC patient will win a Hela Salon & Spa treatment, like an acupuncture session, 50 minute massage, or new hairdo. The pampered patient will then spend 45 minutes as a supermodel during a photo-shoot with Fashiontographer Walter Grio, just back from the runways of Berlin Fashion Week!
