Union Market & Its 5th Street Folly

A folly in Northeast DC?!  Well, at least this one’s fun and festive!  From Friday, November 14through Sunday, November 16, Union Market is hosting a weekend-long street party complete with signature fashion and food-oriented gatherings.  It’s called Fifth Street Folly, and this one’s a fair for the whole family.

In addition to some magical mayhem in the market itself, expect a pop-up from Boston based skincare shop, Follain, and a clothesline art sale (with works on paper by a wide variety of DC artists and students) from a curation called Hanging On A Line.  There will be live music, face painting, balloon art…

BLUEJACKET & RED APRON POP-UP BEER GARDEN
What: Pop-up beer garden by DC brewery Bluejacket & foodie favorite, Red Apron
When: November 14 – November 16 from 4pm-7pm
Where: Lot on Penn Ave. NE, between 4th St. NE and 5th St. NE
About: Bluejacket will launch its first ever pop-up beer garden. Beer Director Greg Engert will be on hand to showcase eight of Bluejacket’s signature beers, brewed exclusively in their Navy Yard brewery. Red Apron will serve up a selection of Nathan Anda’s famous franks. http://bluejacketdc.com/

What: A two-day marketplace with a tasty selection of over 60 Mid-Atlanic food artisans
