Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Toast with the (Mrs. DC America) Queen

Fitness Trainer Stacy Adams (Fitness Together, Georgetown) and Business owner, Souny West (W Salon), last Wednesday hosted the 3rd annual Toast With the Queen to fete Mrs. DC America 2014, Meredith Egwuatu, as she heads to off compete at Mrs. America 2014.

Held at Barcode Lounge, guests sipped and socialized to Top 40 Hits. The evening affair also raised over $1,000 for the non-profit, Luke’s Wings, which unites wounded warriors, veterans and heroes with their loved ones.

Egwuatu, currently the Director of Business Development at an IT consulting firm, will compete at Mrs. America with the platform “Leadership Development through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.”

“I am so grateful for all those who came out to support this event. Not only did we connect businesses leaders, we also had the opportunity to raise money for our military and their families,” she said.
