Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. We’re Burning Up Over This Eating Contest in Arlington

There’s an eating contest coming to the metro area that involves Jalapeño Hot Poppers. Think you can handle the heat?

On Monday (February 24, 2020) from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Taco Rock (1501 Wilson Boulevard Arlington, VA) will debut its annual Flammin Hot Poppers Challenge. To win … a Taco Rock Title Belt (?!) and a $100 cash prize … the winner must eat the most jalapeño pepper poppers. No other food or beverage will be permitted during the contest.

Second and third-place finishers will receive a medal and Taco Rock gift card.

Tickets and contest rules are available here. There is a $10 entry fee, but spectators get in free. This contest is set to be flaming!
