Sip in the Sky: The Embassy Row Hotel Opens its Rooftop

After $500,000 dollars of renovations since November, The Rooftop at The Embassy Row Hotel held its grand opening this Wednesday, unveiling dazzling views of the Washington Monument, National Cathedral, and the surrounding skyline of DC and Virginia.dsc_0669

In the heart of DuPont Circle, the 4,130-square-foot open-air roof terrace with a 450-square foot pool and outdoor lounge area is complete with a full bar and delectable menu.

The Embassy Row Hotel, by Destination Hotels & Resorts, launched the Rooftop’s Grand Opening in style by partnering with OneHope Wines, a charity that donates half of profits to make a social impact for several causes like breast cancer and world hunger.

The evening was fun and filling, as guests were offered appetizers such as crab cake sliders and hand shucked Amsterdam oysters from Oysters XO.  Full of colorful couches, elegantly draped beds and dsc_0528relaxing lawn chairs, The Rooftop exudes a peaceful ambiance in the busyness of a power driven city.

Check out this new DC hotspot with a $25 day pool passes (available at the front desk) or free Twilight Passes (available after 5PM).  Or plan a staycation: Guests of The Embassy Row Hotel have priority and complimentary access to The Rooftop open every day from  7:00 AM – 10:00 PM.
