Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Jose Andres unveiled his own photographs from a trip to Haiti and a new worldwide charity project, World Central Kitchen Monday night at Zaytinya. Joking about the emergence of amateurs in today’s society, Andres suggested that if everyone in the world was going to become a cook or a photographer, then they could do their part to feed the world responsibly as well.
