Jacqueline & Jilly Screens With Celebs at Lincoln Theatre

The Urban Movie Channel — a premium subscription streaming service recently acquired by AMC Networks –recently hosted a special DC screening event for its new original series, Jacqueline & Jilly.

About the show:

A portrait of three generations, Jacqueline & Jilly tells the story of two shattered dreams and one accidental addiction. When the daughter of a privileged political family develops an addiction to prescription pain killers following an unfortunate accident, it goes unnoticed by those around her. As the problem becomes more apparent, the family must face the truth about addiction and each other while banding together for the sake of their daughter’s survival and recovery.

The private reception and advance screening at the Lincoln Theatre was followed by a Q&A attended by a panel with cast and crew members including Victoria Rowell (The Young and the Restless), President, Days Ferry Productions Executive Producer, Director; Richard Brooks (Being Mary Jane, Law & Order, The Flash); Daphne Maxwell Reid (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Eve); Nikko Austen Smith (Queen Sugar); Charmin Lee (Girlfriends, The Quad); Lamont Easter (House of Cards, Homeland).

The show is dedicated to Caitlyn Weems, whose mother Carolyn Weems, a Virginia Beach School Board Member, was in attendance.  It also features an exclusive piece of music from legendary jazz musician, Wynton Marsalis.
