Diplomatic Courier & YPFP Announce 2013 Top “99 Under 33″

The Diplomatic Courier and Young Professionals in Foreign Policy today released their 2013 Top 99 Foreign Policy Leaders Under 33 or “99 Under 33,” an international list recognizing the most influential foreign policy leaders under the age of 33.

By design, the “99 Under 33″ list is broad and diverse, featuring Millennials from 37 countries (at least one country from every continent except Antarctica) that are entrepreneurs, technologists, journalists, bankers, activists, and scientists – as well as diplomats.  The List profiles young people who are already tackling the world’s critical global challenges.

“The Millennial generation has a deep responsibility to deliver new ideas, new approaches, and new solutions to the world’s toughest challenges,” said Gary Barnabo, President, Young Professionals in Foreign Policy. “This 2013 Top 99 Under 33 tells a story of diverse young people who are choosing to lead now—setting the bar high for the rest of my generation.”

“Millennials [are] the largest generation in history—representing 43 percent of the globe’s population—and the first who will do away with national identity and come to accept their future as ‘First Globals,’” added Ana C. Rold, Editor-in-Chief, Diplomatic Courier.

The 2013 list is the 3rd of its kind put forward by the Diplomatic Courier and YPFP. A fourth “class of 99″ will be chosen with the help of those included this year.
