Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Del Campo’s Bottomless Brunch Kicks Off with a Bloody Mary Throwdown

DC has a lot of great brunches, so why might Del Campo‘s $45 fixed bottomless brunch and brunch cocktail binge (opening this wknd!) be all that and a… bacon-egg-and-cheese-empanada? Well, to kick off the new menu (offered alongside the current a la carte offerings) this Sunday (11:30 am – 2:30 pm), the restaurant is hosting a Bloody Mary Throwdown with top bartenders competing to see who can make the best bloody.

Contestants include Del Campo’s Mary Kelly, Graffiato’s Rico Wisner, Silo’s Giancarlo Cruz, and Mandu’s Eric Chodkowski. Your $45 gets you samples of them all.

Now that sounds like a brunch to boast about.
