Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. DC Shorts Laughs Features Double Header of Comic Healing

Who doesn’t need a laugh these days?

The DC Shorts International Film Festival’s DC Shorts LAUGHS is DC’s quintessential night of quick quips and comedy combining live stand-up performances with comedy shorts from past film festivals.

DC Shorts LAUGHS takes place on on Friday, June 22, and Saturday, June 23, at the Miracle Theatre, 535 8th Street SE and features a lineup of comedians to include Ryan Neser, Kandace Saunders, Andy Kline, Natalie McGill, Eddie Morrison, and Denise Taylor.

How good is it?? Says Kimberley Bush, DC Shorts International Film Festival Executive Director, “If laughter heals, you’ll be skipping home by the end of the night.”

Each showcase runs approximately 90 minutes, and is appropriate for ages 18+. Tickets are $20 per showcase, or $30 for a Double Header, purchased here.  Beer, wine, and snacks will be
available.
