America’s Funniest Filthiest Dad made the rounds in DC last week/nd, facing up to Full House fans and getting a little familiar while doing some Capital area comedy. That’s right, Bob Saget was in town making a few personal appearances — first doing an intimate book signing of his “Dirty Daddy: The Chronicles of a Family Man Turned Filthy Comedian” Thursday night at P.J. Clarkes’ Sidecar for members and other VIPS. On Friday he was found at Books a Million, explaining to fans how he went from wholesome father to crude comedian.
But which alter ego is most authentic? In an interview with the Washington Post, he said, ”When I’m with my kids, I’m probably more like [Danny Tanner] than I am in the stand-up irreverent character… I don’t curse around my kids or anything. That’s just weird.”
