Madame Tussauds Gets a Miley

DC’s Madame Tussauds immortalized global pop sensation Miley Cyrus Tuesday afternoon with a never-before-seen wax figure unveiled at the DSC_3010nearby Hard Rock Café.

Using over 250 precise measurements and referencing countless videos of the star, Madame Tussauds Studio molded the wrecking ball into a figure wearing a daring red and black sequin leotard inspired by her Bangerz tour ensemble — dedicating a full week just to perfect all of her tattoos!  Her look also features sky-high black platform heels, rocker-glam jewelry, and her signature buzzed haircut.

“Fans from across the world request to see Miley whenever they visit our star-studded attraction and we are thrilled to be able to offer our visitors the chance to see her brand new figure,” said Lauren Cottrell, Marketing Manager of Madame Tussauds D.C.  “With the success of her latest album and her sold-out tour, Miley will be right at home alongside her _DSC2287 Miley Cyrus MTWDC 2014musical contemporaries including Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.”

When her figure is unveiled to the public later this month, Cyrus will join the likes of President Barack Obama, Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, and Taylor Swift – all of whom have notable wax figures at the local Madame Tussauds.
