Taylor Swift made an appearance in DC yesterday morning as she’s never been seen before — in wax! Madame Tussauds welcomed the country/pop sensation to join the attraction’s line-up of legendary cultural icons this morning, debuting a brand new, never before seen wax figure of Swift.
A small group of Swift fans were invited for the unveiling of the four-time Grammy Award winner’s statue, where she beckons visitors alongside President Barack Obama, Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton and… (frenemy?!) Katy Perry.
This isn’t the first time Swift’s likeness has already been immortalized at Madame Tussauds. For her original figure in 2010, Swift spent several hours with the team, eagerly sharing her favorite styling and makeup tips to perfect her signature look. That figure now rests in New York.
New — and distinct — versions were unveiled this year in both Los Angeles and the Nation’s Capital.
