Another Pandemic Pop-Up Goes Permanent: Butter Me Up Opens in Logan Circle

What started out as a pandemic pop-up is now opening its second permanent location — this time in Logan Circle.

Butter Me Up, the breakfast sandwich concept from HalfSmoke restaurant, is now open at 1409 T Street, NW, 20009.

From pop-up to the Westfield Montgomery Mall location and now Logan Circle, Butter Me Up has sold over 100,000 breakfast sandwiches, each made from scratch and incorporating fresh, local ingredients.

An expanded menu at the 14th Street location will be divided into four categories: breakfast sammies, superfood acai bowls, toasts, and sides.

Among those patrons are loving include the Staycation, soft scrambled eggs, goat cheese, caramelized onions, avocado and siracha mayo ($12); Easy Like Sunday, turkey sausage, soft scrambled eggs, Havarti cheese and honey-mustard aioli ($12); Feels Like Home, buttermilk fried chicken, soft scrambled eggs, caramelized onions, dill pickles, smoked cheddar and sriracha mayo ($12); and Breakfast In Bed, smoked salmon, chives crème fraiche, radish, shaved red onion and sprouts ($14). But while the sammies are spectacular, don’t sleep in on the Cinnamon Sugar French Toast Sticks with maple syrup ($6) or Blueberry Parfait with blueberries, granola and vanilla Greek yogurt ($6).

Been wanting to try Butter Me Up?  Here’s a tip: Butter Me Up invites customers to “pay what they want” on Thursday, September 8, when 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Washington Area Women’s Foundation.
