Regional social sports, events, and media company, DC Fray today announced the 3rd Annual DC Field Day. This signature event is a throwback to grade school, built with adults in mind. The event brings out hundreds of individuals and businesses wanting to let their hair down and enjoy a nostalgic time over classic games with a twist such as tug-of-war, giant ping-pong, an obstacle course, and a few other surprises. In addition to the lawn fun, the event will include food trucks, a bar, live music, and a Field Day market with samples & swag for individuals and teams. Individuals are encouraged to grab their friends, start a team, join as a group, or sign up solo for the ultimate day of fun, friends, and games to celebrate summer. This year’s event will be emceed by hometown media personalities Tommy McFly and Kelly Collis of The Tommy Show.
Standard team tickets cost $45 per person (or $42 per person for a full team of 8) and include a beer ticket voucher and a voucher to spend in the Field Day shop. There are also options for corporate level team pricing in which a business can cover up to 25 players to participate in their firm.

Youth and adults from the public and local area refugee communities will take part in a day of soccer, friendship, and fun at One Journey Soccer Fest on The Fields at RFK Campus. The event is organized by One Journey and partners, DC Sports Soccer and L.A.C.E.S.
One Journey Soccer Fest includes an adult 7×7 soccer tournament, a youth soccer clinic with various stations and recreational activities, and numerous opportunities for refugees and participants from the public to build friendships, respect, and mutual understanding.

Returning next month, Alexandria’s hometown destination-centric race, PNC Parkway Classic, will take place on Sunday, April 24. The race draws thousands of runners and spectators throughout the DC Metro region and beyond to experience the historic George Washington Memorial Parkway from a different vantage point during the Springtime.
The event will once again feature two distance choices for runners (10 Miler or 5K) as well as a Kids Dash that features pre-race family-friendly activities. The 10-mile course will return to start at the beautiful Mount Vernon Estate and will take runners down the tree-lined George Washington Memorial Parkway and through historic Old Town Alexandria; a unique opportunity for runners of all skill levels. This is the first time since 2019 that the race will return to its original format.
Every runner 21+ will receive a complimentary beverage from local brewery Port City Brewery. Participants will also get a shirt and commemorative race medal. New race sponsor DC-based Mighty Meals will provide a special cookie treat for all the finishers crossing the finish line. The finish festival will feature live music from area favorite The Joe Chiocca Band, Port City Brewery pop-up, and other special activities to celebrate the runners.
Born in 1984, the George Washington Parkway Classic is among the most scenic and spacious distance races on the East Coast. From the serene beauty of our course meandering through the finest spring bloom in the DC area, to beautiful views of the Potomac and the charming streets of Alexandria, the PNC Parkway Classic is a journey that celebrates the simple joys of road racing while enjoying one of our National Parks. Citi Taste of Tennis today announced the exciting return of its premier food and tennis experience to Washington D.C. with an in-person event on July 31. This year marks 22 years since AYS Sports Marketing first created the one-of-kind event that brings together accomplished chefs and some of the world’s top pro tennis players to kick off major U.S. and international tennis tournaments.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, Mayor Muriel Bowser and the DC Department of Parks and Recreation is hosting the fifth annual FITDC HerStory 5K Run/Walk at Freedom Plaza on Saturday, March 4 at 9:00 a.m. The FITDC HerStory 5K is free of charge, open to all DC residents and for all race levels. Downtown DC’s flat running course along Pennsylvania Avenue will again serve as the perfect backdrop for the race event, which highlights panoramic views of the U.S. Capitol and national monuments. Both dog and stroller friendly, the FITDC HerStory 5K is geared toward families, kids, weekend athletes and fitness enthusiasts alike.

The Washington Nationals and Washington Nationals Philanthropies invite fans to attend the red carpet arrivals prior to the 2023 Nationals Homecoming Gala, held Tuesday, March 28, at The Anthem located at The Wharf (901 Wharf St. SW). Arrivals are scheduled from approximately 5:00-7:00 p.m. outside The Brighton, host of the official Red Carpet Watch Party.
The Nationals Homecoming Gala is the team’s premier off-the-field event and annual fundraiser for Nationals Philanthropies. This year, the event will honor Ryan Zimmerman with the Power of Baseball Award.
On Tuesday, Nationals players, coaches and front office executives will come together with partners and supporters to celebrate the excitement of a new baseball season. While tickets to the event are sold out, fans can still join in the fun by attending the red carpet celebration at The Wharf, which will include:
