May 12 @ 1:00 AM – 2:00 AM

Sweetgreen, the much-loved, organic, farm-to-table salad shops founded in Washington, D.C., and soon opening in NYC and Boston, has announced the lineup for the fourth annual sweetlife 2013: an unforgettable music + food festival on Saturday, May 11th, at the Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, MD. The festival attracts a curated selection of cutting edge artists and 20,000 attendees – not to mention outstanding food from top chefs, food trucks, local purveyors and farmers. Tickets can be purchased at TicketFly.com.

Created by sweetgreen founders Nicolas Jammet, Jonathan Neman and Nathaniel Ru, the Festival is now in its fourth year and attracts a curated selection of cutting edge artists and 20,000 attendees – not to mention outstanding food from top chefs, food trucks, local purveyors and farmers. An annual celebration of flavorful music and delicious and wholesome food, the event embraces good living, along with health and well-being, community and sustainability, and leaves a gentle footprint as a carbon-neutral event – a party with a purpose.

This year’s Main Stage will feature the bands Phoenix, Passion Pit, Kendrick Lamar, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Gary Clark Jr., Solange and Lindsey Stirling. The second stage, a.k.a. The Treehouse, will showcase some of sweetgreen’s favorite new artists, including Holy Ghost!, Youth Lagoon, Foxygen, Haerts, Robert DeLong, MS MR, twenty | one | pilots, Shark Week, Nicky Blitz, and Knocked up Kids.

FOOD:
The food lineup at the event is just as sweet. The VIP section will feature a sweetgreen grab-and-go stand, as well as some of D.C.’s top chefs: James Beard Award-winning chef RJ Cooper of Rogue 24; 2013 James Beard Award-nominated chef Spike Gjerde of Woodberry Kitchen; and Food & Wine magazine’s “People’s Best New Chef” nominee Erik Bruner-Yang of Toki Underground. VIP:The festival’s VIP section will be divided into two exclusive areas: VIP Main and VIP Treehouse. VIP Main will feature a sweetgreen grab-and-go stand, as well as Rogue 24’s chef RJ Cooper who will preview his forthcoming restaurant, Gypsy Soul, with dishes inspired by the new menu. In VIP Treehouse, chef Erik Bruner-Yang of Toki Underground will bring his stellar modern take on traditional Taiwanese dishes, and chef Spike Gjerde of Woodberry Kitchen will showcase his 100% locally-sourced, nose to tail cooking. Also included: covered cabana lounges and seating, complimentary sweetgreen salad tasting and free filtered water, and two separate VIP viewing areas.
