VIDA Fitness Hosts FREE Toned Up Tuesdays

Because we love to #gethealthy with FREE exercise and healthy lifestyle classes… and we know you do, too!

So get excited to chase the winter blues away and tone up for summer!  Beginning on April 21and through the month of May, instructors from VIDA Fitness will lead a variety of yoga classes — and a Zumba class just to shake it up a bit — each Tuesday evening in The Park at CityCenter at the corner of 10th and I streets NW starting at 6:30 p.m. (weather permitting)

The Toned Up Tuesdays program is free and open to the public in an effort to promote a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. Guests will receive fitness swag from CityCenter DC, VIDA FitnessCity Sports and healthy snacks, shakes and special offers from various local vendors.

Here’s the sched:
April 21 – Power Yoga: Designed to build strength while increasing balance, flexibility and endurance. Expands on the sequences of Vinyasa to incorporate more challenging arm balances, inversions and twists in conjunction with deep breath to detoxify the body.
April 28 – Yoga for Athletes: Enjoy a rigorous flow with full range of motion to develop stability, strength and mobility. You’ll learn how to prepare and maintain your body for peak athletic performance.
May 5 Cinco de Mayo Zumba:  Dance your heart out at our Cinco de Mayo Zumba® Fitness Party! This is a fun, high energy workout led by Vida’s talented and super energetic instructors, George Cruz and Eric Ruiz for this special Zumba® fitness class!  You’ll be shaking your hips to exotic high-energy Latin rhythms!
May 12 – Vinyasa Yoga: Perfect complement to any fitness routine whether you are a runner, power lifter or just looking to sculpt and tone your body. You will flow from one posture (asana) to the next in conjunction with your breath to build heat and increase flexibility. Vinyasa translates to breath synchronized movement and offers a wide variety of poses, sequences and challenging progressions.

May 26 – Hatha Yoga: Ideal for learning beginner poses, relaxation techniques and terminology. Hatha Yoga is a session of gentle movement, stretching, simple breathing exercises and seated meditation.
