Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. [Vid] Inaugural Temptation: Rock and Roll Legends ‘Let the Music Play’

Joe Coleman (former lead singer of The Platters), Glen Leonard (former lead singer of the Temptations), and Joe Blunt (formerly of the Drifters) hosted a private night of entertainment at the Carlyle Club Saturday, celebrating inauguration weekend with select friends and timeless songs.

Among those in attendance and dancing to “Let The Music Play,” “My Girl,” “The Great Pretender,” and “Under the Boardwalk” “were Vanessa Weaver (Coleman’s wife), Bill Nye (the Science Guy), Jennifer Cho (Executive Director of the New York Opera Society), and Barbara Hawthorne (Interior Designer).
