St. Jude’s Gourmet Gala

It was a Mardi Gras for the Kids Wednesday night at the National Building Museum as the annual St. Jude’s Gourmet Gala coincided with Fat Tuesday.

The 14th annual event combined the finest in restaurant cuisine from chefs in the region with one of a kind auction items to raise funds for therapy, bone marrow transplants, immunology, and AIDS vaccine research.

Highlights of the night included guest voting (with Mardi Gras beads) for their favorite dishes — and meeting an exceptionally young survivor (at left) who stole the hearts of all in attendance.
