Pooches & Purrers Get Pedestal Treatment at Capital Celeb Pet Night

Felines, canines and party lines. Thursday night on Capital Hill, the Animal Health Institute held their 15th annual Celebrity Pet Night for Members of Congress, staff and friends in the Cannon Caucus Room.

An annual favorite of politicos and pet lovers, this year’s event featured four-legged celebs Bodie, the adorable French Bulldog who starred in the movie “Due Date,” and Cheeto the cat from the animated “Smurfs” movie.

Congressman Timothy Bishop (D-NY), Kurt Shrader (D-OR), Lou Barletta (R-PA), Scott Garrett (R-NJ), Richard Hanna (R-NY), and Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) were among those who had pics taken with the celeb pets.
