Shake Shack, Blue Smoke, More Now Open at Nats’ Scoreboard Walk

Attendees brought their appetites Monday evening to the grand opening of the Miller Lite Scoreboard Walk at Nationals’ Stadium.  Just a day before the public unveiling at the Nats‘ home season opener against the St. Louis Cardinals, local VIPs noshed on Blue Smoke, Shake Shack, El Verano Taqueria and Box Frites while checking out an elevated view of the field and enjoying a simulated pre-game experience.

“This will become the hottest destination in sports,” said Nationals Chief Operating Officer Andrew Feffer of the Walk with food offerings from Union Square Hospitality Group.  Located on the Mezzanine Level behind the main scoreboard, there is a combination of dining options, music and a large garden area inspired by the All-American games backyard beginnings.

Among those in attendance were Christopher Reiter and Juleanna Glover sampling burgers and tacos,  Samy K talking sports with the ladies, Rich Amons taking in a cover tunes performance, and Katherine Kennedy winning an autographed Strasburg baseball in the raffle.

***Why you’ll go:  In addition to carnita cravings and burger binges…You won’t want to miss the Miller Lite Scoreboard Walk’s $5 happy hour beer specials available 2 1/2 hours prior to the scheduled first pitch for ALL home games of the 2011 season!
