ABT Shoots for Change in DCA

Starting off Spring with allure and class, Fashiontographer’s Editor-in-Chief Walter Grio (above) and TTR img_0223Sotheby’s Jennifer Harlow hosted a cocktail reception in honor of the American Ballet Theatre Monday night at Peacock Café in Georgetown.

Guests had the opportunity to meet many of Walter’s early muses and mingle with them ahead of their much anticipated performance at the Kennedy Center of Le Corsaire (Petipa’s tale of dashing pirates and kidnapped maidens) as well as a mixed repertory img_0226program of Romeo & Juliette, Swan Lake, and The Sleeping Beauty.

Reception guests included several ABT dancers and staff as well as local notables who have supported Grio’s efforts from the onset.

Grio’s contributions to the ABT initiated with the “Shoot for Change Scholarship” for selected students to study at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre.
