Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. [Party Pix] Inside Wine Riot

There was a riot at DAR Constitution Hall this Saturday with glass everywhere — and wine in that glass!  The second annual Wine Riot brought together over 250 wines from every region of the world and the people that love them.  Really.  Love.  Them.

“Not your parents wine tasting…” (probably not your dorky big brother’s either, just sayin’), Wine Riot was a chance to taste, taste, taste… and maybe even get a little tech-y, too.  Crash courses in wineology were surrounded by music, food, photobooths and other tipsy terrific teasers.

And it wasn’t just pictures (like ours below!) that reminded of the fun and flavors post Riot.  A new wine tasting app was unveiled so those favorite notes stay with you.
