Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. You’ll catch her interviewing guests on DC’s NewChannel8′s Let’s Talk Live and showcasing products on BestBuy.com, as well as work appearing on NBC, Fox, Comcast and local print publications.

One Lounge’s Gifted Anniversary Gathering

Business partners and best friends Seth McClelland and Niko Papademetriou celebrated the third anniversary of their Dupont resto-lounge One Lounge with cheer last week as they invited patrons to party… if they brought presents.

The gifts were holiday toys for children in need, donated to the Washington Children’s Hospital by the attendees — which comprised local celebrities, restauranteurs, chefs and media personalities like NBC 4’s Doug Kammerer and Danella Sealock, WPGC’s 95.5 Sunni & The City, Echostage’s Pete Moutso, and The Old Town Theater’s Rob Kaufman — as well as party co-host Comedy Legend Tony Woods (at right).

The owners gift to the guests? The unveiling of the exclusive Girls Of One Lounge 2013 calendar.
