On Deck, Literally, with Kimpton’s #StayHumanProject

Kimpton Glover Park Hotel took advantage of some of the best of Spring weather to introduce its new team and celebrate its unique Stay Human Project Cherry Blossom Room at the hotel’s outdoor deck — now open for the season!

Guests tasted boozy snow cones — a Deck favorite in a variety of rotating flavors — and fare from Casolare‘s bar menu as they mingled with neighbors and staff and played foosball and other throwback fun.  The early evening event was a way to connect in this fast-paced world… which is exactly what Kimpton’s new guest room series, the #StayHumanProject, is all about.

The project spans across Kimpton’s footprint, transforming one premium room in 20 participating properties into “a unique activation that honors the hyper-local character of the surrounding neighborhood,” according to Kimpton. DC boasts two: one in the Glover Park Hotel, the other in Kimpton’s Mason & Rook property.

All #StayHumanProject rooms feature a guestbook for leaving messages (so fun to read notes from those who came before!), a culinary and drink story that’s customized to guests tastes, and great and ‘grammable #stayhumanproject signage.

The Glover Park Hotel’s Cherry Blossom Room is rose-hued room with views stretching across the farther downtown DC skyline, including the Washington Monument and Kennedy Center. The actual cherry blossoms might be gone — and this room might, too, after May 31st — so take the chance to check it out while it’s here.
