Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Brag Better author and professional speaker Meredith Fineman — finally able to have an in-person book launch after releasing her book at the start of the pandemic — hosted a night of personal branding at The Line Hotel with a panel of speakers including First Daughter Ashley Biden, the White House’s Director of African American Media Erica Loewe, NAACP Vice President of Policy and Legislative Affairs Patrice Willoughby, and Senior Operations Manager of Whole Foods on Prime Now at Amazon Anne Garland Berryshimm.

Fineman brought the pages of her book to life encouraging Washington women (and men!) to develop a new skill set —  self-advocacy — around their accomplishments, goals, and achievements.
