Thursday evening Marcus Johnson, internationally famed jazz keyboardist and pianist — and a DC native — hosted an intimate “Sips & Sounds” performance at Georgetown’s Puro Cafe. The night showcased Johnson’s three varietals of FLO (For the love of…) Wine, the newest addition to his lifestyle company, FLO Brands.
Topping off its mission to “enhance our customers’ lives and make each day a little better one sip and sound at a time,” FLO Wine winemaker Rob Piziali poured generous glasses of FLO Red Californian Blend (a smooth, silky combination of Petite Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvingon), FLO California Chardonnay (a well-balanced a fruity white), and FLO California Moscato (which he described as “not overwhelmingly sweet, with notes of honeysuckle, apricot, and orange blossom”).
In addition to the grapes, guests were treated to live jazz performance from Johnson and his band, and one lucky raffle winner went home with a FLO Wine’s gift basket, soon to be available here.
