Last week, Lou & Grey welcomed DC native and celebrity stylist-turned-designer Alana Hadid back to her hometown for an intimate dinner at Le Diplomate with media, VIPs and influencers to celebrate the debut of the recently launched Alana Hadid x Lou & Grey capsule collection and the brand’s first recently opened DC-metro area brick-and-mortar at Tysons Corner Center.
Hadid, who is Lou & Grey’s design collaborator, was joined at the 40-person seated dinner by local childhood friends and family,
including her mother, Mary Butler and sister, Marielle Hadid.
Guests, including Michelle Obama’s makeup artist Carl Ray, ABC WJLA Morning Anchor Jummy Olabanji, and journalist Noor Tagouri, mingled with Hadid during the event’s cocktail hour and lavish-three course dinner. Guests enjoyed Veuve Clicquot champagne, wine and decadent Le Diplomate favorites such as foie gras parfait, steak frites and pot de creme.
Each guest also received a customized “Birdie” bandana with a monogram of their initials from the Alana Hadid x Lou & Grey collection. Launched in February 2016, the exclusive capsule collection features printed bandanas, leather clutches, graphic sweatshirts and totes and will roll out new bandana prints, clutches and totes this fall.
