Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Inaugural Parties are Coming, So Hu Are You Wearing?

Hu will you be wearing to the Inauguration? Hu’s Wear co-owner, Marlene Hu Aldaba hopes it’ll be something from her Georgetown fashion boutique’s new Inauguration Salon.

In partnership with Dom Perignon champagne & LA-based vintage shop Decades, Hu’s launched the salon — a three week pop-up shop — Thursday night, just in time for Washington to prepare for the galas, parties and inaugural festivities that follow the presidential election.

Designer and couture clothing, jewelry and accessories from such distinguished design houses such as Valentino, Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel make up the collection, all hand picked by Aldaba (above).
