Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Kerry (Washington) Comes for Cupcakes

Award-winning actress, and George Washington University alum, Kerry Washington will be sharing some frosting with fans this Saturday in Georgetown. The sweet meet-and-greet is to take place at Sprinkles Cupcakes from 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Her appearance kicks off a nine-day event benefiting Americans for the Arts, a leading organization for advancing the arts/arts education. From October 29 to November 6, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of Sprinkles Red Velvet cupcakes will be donated to the cause.
