J. Lo, Rhianna Jewel Sells for Local Charity

Does the fact that a celeb wore it automatically make it more valuable?  Is a bauble worth more bling because it has graced a big name body?  The National Juvenile Diabetes Foundation sure hoped so!

A sparkly stunner from Adeler Jewelers, famously worn by Jennifer Lopez and Rhianna and featured in a recent issue of InStyle Magazine, was modeled around the VIP reception and silent auction tables of the Foundation’s annual Night of Hope Gala Saturday evening — with security detail in tow!

Though it had been worn by Hollywood and Radio Royalty, the evening’s winner nabbed it at a nice price.  With an advertised worth estimated at $21,000 (the piece was donated by the local jeweler), it fetched a cool $15,000 through silent auction.

*The NJDF raised in excess of $1 million for diabetes research from the evening.
