Irish Whiskey Brunching with the Bitches

What’s it like having brunch with a Bitch? To start, it really makes you pay more attention to the menu!  K Street Kate sat down with one half of the Bitches Who Brunch duo, Cori Sue Morris, to experience the first day of brunch at Irish Whiskey last Sunday.  From spicy bloody marys to soda bread french toast, it was an early afternoon of girl talk and gaelic good food!

Rule #1, every order is unique.  So as Morris considered the Coast to Coast (an Eggs Hemingway-esque feast atop raisined soda toast), KSK ordered the very hearty Loaded Baked Potato Hash (crowned with poached eggs).  Coffees came with an irish kick!

Rule #2, outspoken opinions only!  The Bitches can be brutal, but they’re beloved as well.  Morris encouraged mixed feelings about some entrees, but shared suggestions as eagerly as praise (like lingering loudly over Irish Whiskey’s crave-worthy Jameson whipped cream)!

But the most important rule for the Bitches is to eat, drink and be share-y, whether it’s at the newest venue for boozy brunch and nosh (enter, Irish Whiskey) or a Capital City classic.  The Bitches believe brunch is weekend therapy: a time to dish over dishes with comfortable friends and interesting food, sharing, both bites…and the best and worst of the week.
