What happens when you bring together sixty of the regions top chefs, style icon Tim Gunn, Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, and five hundred do-gooding guests at the Ritz-Carlton West End? You silently wish you wore elastic waisted pants!

On Wednesday evening, the Human Rights Campaign and David Hagedorn hosted Chefs for Equality, an event to raise money and awareness for the Gay Marriage Bill on the ballot in Maryland this November.

Chefs such as Todd and Ellen Gray from Equinox, Michel Richard from Central, Brian Voltaggio from Volt, and Scott Harlan from The Green Pig Bistro served up delectable nibbles to a packed room of Question 6 supporters, while eighteen of the city’s best mixologists kept the masses well-hydrated withequally creative cocktails.

Carine’s Bridal Atelier showcased the latest in bridal couture, and the hottest cake artists confected stunning wedding cakes for dessert.  Guests then met up at the wedding reception after party at Graffiato, hosted by Mike Isabella and Scott Drewno of The Source, imbibing well into the evening.
