You know the story.  But in this on-stage version, a “retiring” Max the Dog narrates the tale and reminisces on his younger days as the scheming Grinch — whose heart is “two sizes too small” — not only discovers there is more to Christmas than he originally thought, but he also finds his first real friend.

Of course, Cindy Lou Who steals the show with her precociousness. and the Grinch charms — even when he’s being his nastiest.  Young Max keeps the show energetic and engaging while providing much of the comic relief.

Audiences can’t help but sing along with popular songs like “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas” as they delight in Christmas preparations with the Whos in Whoville and worry over the Grinch’s evil plot to steal the holiday.

Thank goodness for hearts growing three sizes — and that limited tickets still remain!

Single tickets for THE GRINCH begin at $50 and are available for purchase online only – the National Theatre Box Office is currently closed — at Broadwayatthenational.com
