Getting the ‘Goods’ at Nival’s Modern Gentleman Event

Looking good, smelling good, tasting good — and grooving good — were all lessons from Friday’s gentlemanly get together at Nival Salon and Spa.

A unique party for “Modern Gentleman” hosted by Stylist William Henry Rawls and Barber Marvin Church, the event featured a line-up of lifestyle luxuries necessary for the sophisticated male set — complete with dancing lessons from Arthur Murray!

Testing fragrances by Bulgari, tying bow ties by Distinguished Cravat, suiting up with The House of KAS, tasting Seraphin Cognac, puffing cigars from Cigartown, strutting in shoes shined by The Cobbler’s Bench, and tucking into man-friendly (!?) cupcakes from nearby Frosting Cupcakery, attendees to the evening experience — including Rodney Foster, Walter Grio and A Kid Named Breezy (yep, that’s his artistic alias) — got to learn the secrets of the man who’s styled such stars as Usher, Zoe Saldana and Snoop Dogg.
