#PrettyGlamazonDiaries Gifting Suite Brings Oscars Opulence to the Four Seasons

Glamazon DiariesMakeda Saggau-Sackey and Pretty Connected‘s Lara Eurdolian didn’t just want DC’s “pretty glamazons” to watch the Oscars, they wanted them to be ready for the big night using the very same products the celebs would be using.  So… they gifted them everything they would need.

It was called the #PrettyGlamazonOscars Gifting Suite, and it took place in advance of the Oscars telecast Sunday afternoon at Eno Wine IMG_9141Bar.  In exchange for brand publicity and exposure to a potentially underserved market, the duo was given the chance to give bags full of their favorite tested and true beauty products to a select group of local influencers.

“These are brands that we have personally used and loved; brands which made sense with the theme of ‘getting ready for the Oscars…’ or any big night,” Saggau-Sackey explained.

The event featured a lot of fashionistas Facebooking/ trendsetters Tweeting/ influencers Instagramming.

“There are a lot of eyes on social media during the Oscars when everyone is trying to consume what the celebrities are wearing, what products they are using… and the good thing about this tweet-up is that a lot of [the products we are gifting] are being used on the celebrities on Sunday.”

It went like this:  After sipping on Sterling Wine (the same served at the Oscars), having the First Lady’s make-up artist, Carl Ray, offer beauty tips, and comparing Oscar predictions with other partygoers, they all walked out carrying home a bag heavy with Mario Badescu Glycolic Foam CleanserStill Standing High Heel Spray, Aveda Stress Fix Concentrate, Borghese Fango Mud Mask and Perfecting Makeup, Lavazza Coffee Gran Aroma Medium Roast, Skyn Iceland Glacial Cleansing Cloths and Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels… and so so so much more.

Sounds super swank.

But the hosts say it’s totally the opposite of swag.

And influence measurements aren’t just about numbers.
