Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Cause Casino: Winning with Luke’s Wings

Lady luck made her way to Georgetown’s L2 Lounge on Thursday evening for Luke’s Wings 2nd Annual Casino Night.
In addition to the swanky Bond-inspired drinks, the black tie soiree featured a variety of casino games including roulette, poker, and craps tables. Guests attempted to amass as many chips as possible in order to snag the fantastic prizes. The lucky gamblers left with an original Tina Palmer painting, an electric bike, a stylish coat, and a personal flight charter for two among other awards.
However, no one is luckier than the injured Marine who will see his family thanks to the efforts of Luke’s Wings, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reuniting wounded soldiers with their loved ones.
