[Party Pics] Inside the DC-CAP Roast & Toast with Magic Johnson

The 10th anniversary of the DC-CAP Golf Tourney and Post Play party got a little spicy as sports star Magic Johnson, former coaches John Thompson and Morgan Wooten and sportscasters Lesley Vissers, Stuart Scott, Jon Barry and Donnie Simpson roasted hosts James Brown (JB) and Mike Wilbon.
The popular event, which helps thousands of disadvantaged DC students each year realize their dream of a college education, was a laugh riot that also rolled in some large donations.
Don Graham announced a special scholarship established in Michael Wilbon’s name (at 10K per year for 4 years for one student that Michael and his wife Cheryl will select). JB can’t call foul play: his gets established next year…
And in addition to getting in his pokes, fellow roaster Magic Johnson also had the chance to get out his pocketbook.  After the ribbing, the Hall of Famer announced a donation of 50K to the DC College Access Program (DC-CAP) in large part because of the duo’s roles as … role models: “Thank you for allowing me to idolize someone like you guys to keep me on the right path. Amazing role models for these African American boys.”
