The West End Cafe Deluxe may have opened about a month ago, but the new neighborhood spot at 22nd and M in the Hilton Garden Inn — the fifth Cafe Deluxe in the DC region — is already clued in to the community. Before previewing a variety of items on its latest seasonal menu, owner Brian Sullivan and executive chef Juan Valdez gave a donation to both Mariam’s Kitchen and DC Central Kitchen for their non-profit work.
Post check presentation, those in attendance noshed on sliders (available on the Happy Hour menu for 2/$5!), Crab Cake & Fried Green Tomatoes Benedict, Ahi Tuna Steak and New York Strip.
A final bite of Sully’s Coffee Cake went well with Cafe Deluxe’s charitable efforts.
