Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Local luxury makeup line Founder Michelle Coyle isn’t into naughty.  Haughty sure piques her passion though.  Combining her love of cosmetics with a desire to help countless causes, Coyle named Haughty – which literally means ‘arrogantly proud’ – with a mission of success through strength.

“One of my core beliefs [is] that true beauty comes from empowering others,” said Coyle, already planning cosmetic line partnerships with a focus on prevention…in addition to pretty.

The first of such pairings coincides with the launch of Haughty Cosmetics on March 10th at Hudson Restaurant and Lounge (6-9 PM), where ticket sales and additional donations will benefit Becky’s Fund to address domestic violence awareness and education.
