A Restaurant EPIC on the Taste Buds

Opening just in time to replace summertime barbecues, EPIC Smokehouse in Arlington filled the air with oak hickory and maple smoked aroma Thursday night.

With an eclectic menu offering everything from barbecue classics to inventive smoked selections, Chef Wayne Halleran and General Manager Joon Yang kicked off EPIC’s opening weekend with their own little kick — but they call it a Smoked Ancho Caesar Salad.

An intimate group was invited to taste test EPIC’s new menu, including quality cuts of meat available in its Smoked Prime RibFilet Mignon and EPIC Burger. Or for seafood lovers, the Smoked Salmon and seared Apple Wood Smoked Scallops. Not to mention the extra kick in the Chipotle Sea Bass… 

Leather booths and chairs, wooden beam decor and a specialty bourbon bar give EPIC a masculine feel, though ladies’ll love the Ruby Slipper, ready to go with aperol orange liqueur, citrus Absolute vodka, fresh lemon juice, and hopped grapefruit bitters.

Ah… there’s the kicker!
