This season, Emmy nominated costume designer Daniel Lawson will be joining Lafayette 148 New York for an exclusive fashion presentation at Saks Fifth Avenue at Chevy Chase, Maryland on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11am.

“I can always rely on Lafayette 148 New York for their chic, elegant and modern looks to put on my leading ladies,” says Lawson who has been using Lafayette 148 designs on CBS’s critically acclaimed drama series “The Good Wife” starring Julianna Margulies, Christine Baranski and Chris Noth, and is often cited as one of the “best dressed shows on TV.”

Fathom Gallery Hosts Ned Dishman @ Fathom Gallery
Sep 30 @ 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

On September 30, 2015, Fathom Gallery (1333 14th St NW) will open its doors for the debut photography show of local, Washington, DC based, photographer, Ned Dishman. Inspired by the simple beauty of the worlds’ landscapes, Dishman has compiled his images of his world travels. The opening reception will take place at Fathom Gallery from 6:30 – 9:00 PM, with the artist in attendance.

WHAT:           Art Exhibition featuring Ned Dishman

WHEN:           Wednesday, September 30, 2015 6:30 – 9:00 PM

WHERE:         Fathom Gallery, 1333 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20005

In his debut show entitled, “Vistas,” Ned Dishman will explore the connection between traditional landscape and a viewer that is caught without the distractions of everyday modern life. Harkening back to a time when photographic landscapes where about simple beauty and technique, Dishman is showing that film photography is still beautiful and as relevant as ever.

Ned Dishman found his love for photography while studying in the brilliant city of New Orleans at Tulane University. Born and raise in New York City, Dishman was already accustomed to the eclectic world around him. Whilst shooting commercially for clients such as the NBA, NFL, NHL, USA Tennis, Nike, Reebok, ESPN, MLB and The US Open, he also finds time to shoot his personally driven landscape work.  Whether it is shooting digitally in the high stakes sports photography arena or shooting with film during moments of solitude in expansive and awe inspiring landscapes Dishman is capable of producing imagery that will leave the viewer immersed in the experience.

In association with Fathom Creative, Fathom Gallery is a multi-level, flexi-use event space supporting a community-wide effort to foster appreciation for local arts, culture, digital and interactive art and design, and general community involvement. Past art exhibitions include artists, Sean Hunter, Corcoran Design, Chad Bartlett and Cloud Terre.
