Drag Queen Storytime in Adams Morgan is free and open to children of all ages (and perfect for the entire family!). The goal of Drag Queen Storytime is to inspire a love of reading, while teaching deeper lessons on diversity, self-love and an appreciation of others. Join in Unity Park on the following dates (separate RSVPs required for each event):

This event is hosted in partnership with the Adams Morgan Partnership BID, The Line Hotel, and DC Public Library. The DC Public Library will be in attendance with their famous ‘Library on the Go-Go Book Bike’ – a library pop-up on wheels. The bike unfolds into shelves so community members can browse a small collection on the go, check out or return books, and get more information about library resources.
Please be sure to bring a blanket to sit on or a small lawn chair. Drag Queen Storytime is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled due to inclement weather. Please check your email and our social media accounts for announcements the day of the event.

Fall Fest will include an exciting array of apple-filled activities including seasonal drinks available at The Sandlot Tysons, crafts for kids, doughnut decorating, a large scavenger hunt, a hayride-themed photo booth, live DJ, free giveaways and more!

The seasonal Alexandria Makers Market will pop up on Sunday, September 26 from 12:00 p.m. -6:00 p.m. at Port City Brewing Company in Alexandria. This family-friendly event will showcase the creative community of Alexandria-based creators, makers, designers, & crafters, with vendors curated from highly talented artisans located in Alexandria. A diverse mix of nearly 20 local makers will pop-up and take over Port City’s parking lot, creating a safe and socially distant shopping experience, while enjoying a Port City pint or two.
Break out your lederhosen and dirndls and head to The Boro to celebrate Oktoberfest featuring a Battle of the Polka Bands! This unique, family-friendly fete will feature a battle of the bands-style competition where traditional and modern polka bands will go head to head to be crowned the fan favorite!
On Saturday, October 2, The Boro will feature the sights and sounds of a true Oktoberfest with themed decorations, crafts, and fitting drinks from the Sandlot Tysons. Guests of all ages are invited to take part in the themed activities including photo booths, craft stations, and a variety of outdoor games located all around the park. And don’t miss out on the exciting free giveaways like Oktoberfest-themed beer mugs, inflatable pretzels, party buttons, and more!

After its successful spring series, The Yards will bring back its popular run and brunch activation, Brunch On The Go. Treat yourself to champagne and brunch with your running crew on October 16th, October 23rd, or October 30th in D.C.’s most exciting waterfront neighborhood for living, dining, shopping and relaxing. Pacers will curate a warmup and stretch, then lead attendees on a route around The Yards. Running newcomers and high-milers alike are invited to join!
Each week, a different Yards restaurant will create a special brunch box for registrants to enjoy after their workout. The event will cost $50 per ticket and includes a run and guided stretch for two, branded swag, bottle of bubbles, and brunch for two.

Join the Atlas Brew Works team as they celebrate eight years at the Ivy City Brewery & Tap Room location (2052 West Virginia Ave NE) on Saturday, October 16, with plenty of games, live DJ, and local food offerings. Atlas Brew Works is excited to release its special eighth anniversary beer at the party, Mayor for Life. The beer has a noticeable puckering sourness balanced with a tart, earthy sweetness. Starting with a blend of three different barrel-aged beers, the team added 400lbs of marionberries, giving the beer it’s fuchsia color and distinct blackberry sweetness. To make up for the lost year of 2020, the Atlas team will also unveil its limited edition seventh anniversary DIPA, available on draft while supplies last. During the party, guests can also enjoy kegs of Batch 500 and Dave Trippelle, Atlas’ fifth and sixth anniversary beers.
