La Fête du Rosé
Jun 13 @ 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
La Fête du Rosé, a picnic-style celebration of all things rosé including the wine, champagne, and lifestyle, returns to the Washington D.C. area for a second year on none other than National Rosé Day, Saturday, June 13, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the National Harbor.
The Festival returns with several new additions and expanded VIP offerings to elevate the guest experience.
Festival attendees will arrive dressed to impress in their chicest pink and/or white attire for a full day of listening to music from world-renowned artists and DJs, and indulging in wine, champagne, and rosé-inspired cocktails, local food trucks, life-sized games, live art installations, share-worthy moments, elaborate photo installations, and a variety of other new and exciting experiences.
“The inaugural La Fête du Rosé D.C. in 2019 exceeded all of our expectations and we’re confident the second annual event in 2020 will not disappoint,” said Founder Cleveland Spears, III. “From the food and drinks to the fashion, guests can expect all of their favorite elements of the festival, but even bigger and better and with some new and exciting surprises throughout.”
La Fête du Rosé will feature multiple rosé wine and champagne options from returning partner and presenter of the champagne VIP Lounge, as well as  VieVité, Maison Marcel and Tito’s Vodka. Attendees will enjoy signature offerings of high-end champagnes, and VieVité’s Côtes de Provence Rosé, which was selected by Condé Nast Traveler as their must-try rosé for Summer. Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive a special edition bottle from Maison Marcel designed by artist James Goldcrown.
A full entertainment and vendor lineup will be announced in the coming weeks. For additional information on vendor and sponsorship opportunities, or to purchase tickets for La Fête du Rosé, visit lafetedurose.com.

‘Wonder Woman: Tempest Tossed’ Virtual Book Event
Jul 15 @ 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Engaging fans across the internet, author Laurie Halse Anderson (Speak, Shout) and artists Leila del Duca will appear in a virtual conversation with Politics and Prose based in Washington D.C., to celebrate the release of their first DC project, Wonder Woman: Tempest Tossed.  The creative team will discuss continuing Wonder Woman’s empowering legacy and how they re-imagined the iconic DC Super Hero for a new, teenage audience.

Wonder Woman: Tempest Tossed explores Wonder Woman’s teen years and is a timely story about the refugee experience, activism, and finding the love and strength to create change. Anderson and del Duca examine powerful social issues like trafficking, gentrification, poverty, and American Idealism, while showing how important it is to be brave and fight back in the face of adversity. The themes of the graphic novel have earned it praise from Entertainment WeeklyPeople Magazine, Ms. Magazine, Today.com, in addition to Publishers WeeklyKirkus ReviewsBooklist and School Library Journal.

On July 15, fans are encouraged to purchase Wonder Woman: Tempest Tossed through Politics and Prose online ordering site or curbside pickup before or after viewing Live virtual discussion. Fans can register for the free event via Eventbrite. All purchased books will include a free bookplate signed by Anderson and del Duca.
