Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Washington D.C.’s Powerful Voices Working In Unison

They are used to hold the microphone.  But now they need to carry a tune! 
Working in concert… for children who are abused and neglected, DC journos are set to participate in Capitol CAREaoke for Childhelp on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at the Ronald Reagan Building.
Founder Rebecca Cooper (ABC7) gathers just a few of her closest buddies on the beat, to include:
James Rosen, Shannon Bream and Bret Baier (FoxNews), Dana Bash (CNN political reporter), Jack Evans (DC Councilmember), Anita Brikman (WUSA), Paulie Harraka (NASCAR driver), Doug Hill (Meteorologist, WJLA), Topper Shutt (Meteorologist, WUSA), Luke Russert (NBC News), and K Street Kate’s Kate Michael who is singing with other locals in lifestyle Pamela Sorensen, Kiki Ryan, Elizabeth Manresa, Hillary Howard, Betsy Fischer, Matthew Cooper, and Joe Lockhart.
This annual fundraiser provides resources for children who need Childhelp’s services — children who are being abused or neglected — by helping to provide direct services to children and families working to overcome child abuse.  Help out in harmony!  Tickets are available here.
