The Conspirator, a feature film set for release in April 2011 starring James McAvoy, Justin Long and Alexis Bledel, tells the story of Surratt as the lone women in on the conspiracy. And now through May 2011, a special exhibit at the National Museum of Crime & Punishment showcases artifacts and costumes from the upcoming film.
“The National Museum of Crime and Punishment is a fitting place to introduce people to The Conspirator and the fascinating and largely unknown story of the plot to kill Lincoln,” said Producer Brian Falk of The American Film Company at the exhibit unveiling and film pre-screening Wednesday night.
Real life can be more compelling (and criminal) than fiction.
