Looking to take a boat out this summer?
Sea Suites Cruises, the brand that brought you Tiki Boats and the Potomac Paddle Club, now has two classic fiberglass party boats (think ‘Mad Men’ era) that are setting sail from The Wharf.
Named “Gladys” and “Violet” the four-seater boats are fitted with electric motors, fanciful fins and headlights, and other retro stylings. They are rentable seven days a week for 1-1/2 hour jaunts in the Washington Channel. And you can drive them yourself, which is rare.
Renters may bring their own food and beverages — though the Captain needs to stay sober.
Pricing is $175, Monday through Thursday; $225 Friday through Sunday.
