Potomac Paddle Club Launch 2020 Limited to Private Parties

Potomac Paddle Club

The Nation’s Capital’s only passenger pedal boat has launched for the Summer season. You can now cruise the Potomac Paddle Boat from the Georgetown waterfront.

The 6-foot paddle wheel party boat is powered by passengers pedaling in tandem. It typically holds up to 16 passengers for “views, brews, and camaraderie.” But, adhering to COVID-19 guidelines this season, Potomac Paddle Club will now only be booked for private groups — or “Paddle Pods” — of no more than 8 guests.

Individual tickets may not be available right now, but safety is definitely on board for “a tour… with people you know and food and beverages you trust.”

That’s right — reservation-only tours are BYOB and bring-your-own-snacks. Passengers may bring their own coolers with beer, wine, or soft drinks (no hard liquor) for a 90-minute cruise and views of monuments, landmarks, and the Georgetown and Columbia Island Marinas.

Monday-Thursday, 3-11:15 pm, rent the whole boat (group rate for up to 8 passengers) for $350. Friday, 1-11:30 pm, and Saturday/Sunday, 10 am-10:45 pm, enjoy a weekend Paddle Party for just $100 more.
